Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd based in Biggleswade is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to execute transport plans, maximise vehicle capacity and ensure SLA/KPI targets are met while complying with transport legislation and Health & Safety requirements.

The role includes managing the Transport Management System, coordinating driver hours under WTD rules, producing KPI reports and liaising with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• A detailed understanding of the rules and regulations around drivers' hours.
• Experience using TMS, Microlise, Convey, ESP or similar.
• Hardworking with a flexible attitude to work.
• Previous experience in a Transport Office.
• Understand WTD and driver compliance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure efficient use of driver and vehicle resources.
• Administer customer requirements in a timely and controlled manner.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and Health & Safety policies.
• Manage driver hours, WTD rules and tachograph compliance.
• Induct agency drivers and monitor compliance.
• Prepare and submit KPI reports.
• Improve fuel efficiency and MPG through monitoring.
