Job summary

Lineage Logistics in the United Kingdom is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join the Transport team at Hams Hall. The role focuses on making operations smarter, safer and more efficient, in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage drivers, schedules, paperwork, and guard against infringements while using Excel and possibly a Transport Management System. A proactive, team-oriented mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous transport supervision or supervision experience in a busy environment.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Experience managing drivers’ hours and transport legislation.
• Good communication with drivers and stakeholders.
• Experience with Excel and IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Allocate drivers effectively and ensure resources are in place.
• Complete driver wages and holiday administration accurately.
• Monitor drivers’ daily activity and paperwork.
• Assist with agency bookings, costings and spend.
• Monitor driver infringements and ensure documentation.
• Input and monitor working time and Driving Time Directive information in Excel.
• Deliver training and support to drivers on our technology.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections and MOTs externally and internally.
• Monitor and report vehicle defects and escalate issues.
• Report RTAs and near misses to support safety.
• Order site fuel and monitor requirements.
• Collaborate with peers to improve performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
