Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Night Transport Supervisor in Raunds for a full-time night-shift role from 22:00 to 07:00, Monday to Friday with some flexibility. You will lead drivers, coordinate between drivers and customers, and ensure KPI targets and legal vehicle operations are met.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of transport compliance, and experience in cost control. IOSH and International Transport Manager CPC qualifications are beneficial, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience with vehicle maintenance planning and legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience developing relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Cost control and working within budget, reporting and managing cost variances.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily transport operations, tracking deliveries, liaising with drivers and customers, and ensuring service levels and KPIs are consistently achieved.
• Review driver, vehicle, and trailer resources to ensure all work is covered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational requirements.
• Manage transport compliance, including driver debriefs, tachograph infringements, vehicle defects, and driver hours legislation.
• Coordinate vehicle and trailer maintenance, working with service providers to minimise downtime and effectively manage breakdowns and incidents.
• Drive safety and performance through driver management, accident investigations, and proactive Health & Safety activities across the operation.
