Job summary

GXO is seeking a hands-on Transport Supervisor to join the NHS Supply Chain contract at our Alfreton site. Lead from the front, motivate teams, and ensure transport operations run safely and efficiently. This is a full-time, permanent role with a night shift pattern.

Shift: Sunday to Wednesday 10:00pm to 6:00am and Thursday to Friday 10:00pm to 5:00am, with some flexibility during peak periods. A strong focus on compliance and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Legal compliance knowledge of regulations/standards.
• Proven leadership experience in transportation or logistics.
• Experience working with agency providers and carriers.
• International CPC holder.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with transport-related legislative and corporate requirements.
• Manage cost and service in line with KPIs.
• Maintain quality standards in line with OTIF measures.
• Oversee Audit Compliance for site Tacho and Drivers Hours.
• Communicate, apply and enforce company policies.
