Job summary

Great Bear is seeking a Transport Supervisor to oversee 24/7 operations, manage a team of Transport Supervisors, and support the Transport Manager in staying within budget. The role runs 40 hours weekly, nights (22:00–06:00), Monday to Friday, with a strong emphasis on safety, cost control, and service excellence.

You will drive scheduling, holiday planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective resource management across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a busy transport environment.
• Strong planning and numeracy for scheduling resources.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Depot Transport staff to meet service levels and traffic plans.
• Monitor maintenance, defects and vehicle readiness to reduce costs.
• Ensure fleet is available and declared for planning purposes.
