Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager to run 24/7 transport operations. You will lead the depot team, manage drivers, and ensure cost control in line with budgets, typically working 5 in 7 with staggered early/late shifts.

We value strong leadership, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving to maintain service levels across a busy ambient 3PL network.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport & Logistics sector.
• Supervisory experience in a busy transport environment.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Depot Transport staff to meet service levels and plans.
• Manage holiday and shift patterns for drivers and agency staff.
• Ensure fleet availability and regulatory compliance.
• Support planning with Kronos clocking data and payroll.
• Attend customer reviews and drive continuous improvement.
