Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Transport Coordinator in Lutterworth for a full-time permanent position. The role involves planning driver and vehicle resources to meet delivery and collection times while adhering to WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.

You will manage run summaries, ensure service levels, and coordinate with other departments. The posted salary is £35,837 plus £3,000 night allowance, with nights 6pm-6am and 4-on-4-off shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience of tachograph/driving rules and regulations.
• Significant transport experience within an FMCG environment would be desirable.
• Planning and organising skills under pressure to meet set deadlines.
• Previous management/supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
• Good IT skills including MS Office with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• CPC National is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Create and update daily run summaries to meet delivery/collection deadlines.
• Ensure service levels are achieved in conjunction with other departments.
• Plan runs using the Driver rota, considering holidays and sickness.
• Verify legal compliance for defects, services, MOTs, etc.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers including start times and load information.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and legal requirements.
• Support disciplinary hearings and related processes to maintain standards.
