Job summary

Peters Dean Care Ltd is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker in Bracknell to help keep young people safe, supported and settled through the night. You’ll provide calm, compassionate care, respond to incidents, and ensure accurate handovers to day staff, within small homes supporting up to two young people.

Role requires staying awake for 10pm–8am shifts, maintaining safeguarding practices, and working as part of a supportive team with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or similar role caring for young people.
• Able to work 10pm-8am night shifts on a rota.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and safeguarding awareness.
• Independent worker within a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of young people overnight.
• Carry out welfare and security checks.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance.
• Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns, or emergencies.
• Complete records and handovers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide consistent care.
