Job summary

Pharmacyupdate is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people during night hours in residential settings. You will support up to two young people, remain calm under pressure, and maintain accurate records through night shifts.

The role offers ongoing training, opportunities for professional development, and a clear path to progression within a growing organisation focused onTherapeutic, relationship-led care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or adults with complex needs in residential care, supported living, community, or education settings.
• Able to work 10pm–8am nights on a rota basis, including weekends and public holidays.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of young people throughout the night.
• Carry out welfare and security checks per care plans and risk assessments.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance as needed.
• Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns or emergencies appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming home environment.
• Prepare accurate records, reports and handovers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver consistent care and support.
