Job summary

Care in Mind is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker at our Bolton site. You will work 38.5 hours per week, with night shifts 8.30pm–7.30am, including weekends and some bank holidays. Training and development are provided, and a supportive residential setting helps young people with mental health needs.

The role requires a full UK driving licence (manual) and strong communication skills. Salary £28,808.78–£29,709.68 per year, with benefits and a focus on safety and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Essential requirements of a Support Worker.
• Must be able to attend training on weekdays.
• Good written skills and ability to write basic reports.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use an online care system and email.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain professional working boundaries.
• Full UK Driving Licence - manual

Responsibilities

• Support young people at night, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Update online care records and provide handovers to day staff.
• Assist with medication administration and liaise with clinical staff.
• Maintain a tidy, homely environment in the home.
• Respond to incidents and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
• Support independence and daily living activities and transition planning.
