Job summary

Care in Mind is seeking a Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker (Driver Only) in Ramsbottom, Bury. Must hold a full UK manual licence and be prepared for night shifts, weekends, and some bank holidays. You will update online care records, administer medications, and hand over to day staff.

Our team supports young people aged 16–30 with mental health needs in a residential setting. Ongoing training and mentoring are provided, with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Flexibility - night shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Attend training on weekdays
• Good written skills to write basic reports and record information accurately
• Basic IT skills for forms, online care system, and emails
• Good verbal communication and listening skills
• Maintain professional working boundaries
• Stay calm in emergencies and support others

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and provide effective handovers to day staff.
• Medication administration and upkeep of the home environment.
• Support young people with wellbeing, education, and daily living tasks.
• Incident management and de-escalation of challenging behaviours.
• Work nights with support from another night worker or on-call manager.
