Job summary

Cygnet is hiring a confident Care & Support Worker at Beckly House in Shelf, Halifax. You’ll work full-time (42 hours) on 12-hour shifts, including alternating weekends and nights, in a female-only role to support people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You will help individuals with daily living, attend to welfare needs, and assist with community access while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role offers progression and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for adults with learning disabilities or complex needs preferred.
• Ability to provide physical and emotional support with a person-centred approach.
• Good communication and teamwork to support service users.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care with flexible learning approaches for people in our care.
• Offer guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and reporting as required.
• Support service users to access community activities, work, education and hobbies.
• Create a safe, clean environment and promote independence and wellbeing.
