Job summary

CYGNET is seeking a confident Night Support Worker for Thornfield Grange in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. You will work 42 hours weekly, nights only, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, including weekends and bank holidays.

Driving license is required, and DBS checks are enhanced as part of safeguarding. The role involves personal care, community access, and holiday activities, with in-house meals provided and handovers paid.

Qualifications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Valid UK driving licence, 2+ years' driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for service users.
  • Offer physical and emotional support and guidance.
  • Learn individuals' needs and respond in the most appropriate way.
  • Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
  • Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Be a part of it.We are looking for a confident Night Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.You’ll be working 42 hours a week, (nights only) in Thornfield Grange with Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism along with behaviours that challenge.Working mainly night shifts, with the expectation to cover day shift when required , inhouse meals are provided and paid handovers. This role involves working every other weekend, and bank holidays (including Christmas).Please note: A driving license is required for this role. For Insurance purposes, applicants must be 21 years of age or over and have held a full UK driving license for at least 2 years.Thornfield Grange is a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. Based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, Thornfield Grange supports individuals who have behaviours that may challenge, as well as those who have significant difficulties with social engagement.The role involves supporting adults with all aspects of daily life, including on occasion personal care.
