Job summary

Asda Lower Earley is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night team and keep trading smooth while the store sleeps. You’ll oversee all departments, maintain stock availability, ensure safety and legal compliance, and drive strong customer service during night hours.

Working a rolling rota of 4 nights over 7 including weekends, you’ll be responsible for the store through the night and hand over to the day team. Leadership, decision-making, and people development are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus. Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver high store standards during night hours.
• Oversee operation as a whole when the store is open 24 hours and ensure readiness for day shift handover.
• Maintain presence of all departments, ensuring good stock availability, promotions, and shopfloor presentation.
