Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd. in Lower Earley, Reading, is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night team, ensuring the store runs smoothly while customers sleep and maintaining top-shop standards across all departments.

You will work a rolling rota, 4 nights over 7 including weekends, and be the sole leader on duty during night hours in a 24-hour operation. The role is full time and permanent, with a competitive salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute night-shift trading activity to ensure on-shelf availability and correct waste/returns management.
• Lead and coach night teams to maintain high shopfloor standards and customer focus.
• Ensure the shop is ready for handover to the day team with promotions and hot spots.
• Develop and support team growth, fostering a valued, trusted environment.
