Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Manager (Days) to lead our day shift and help the team work safely and efficiently to meet service targets. You will coach, develop and motivate staff, manage workloads, and drive continuous improvement across warehouse operations.

You'll monitor performance using KPIs, promote a strong safety culture, and collaborate with Warehouse, Transport and Operations teams to deliver excellent service.

• Experience leading teams in warehouse/logistics.
• Ability to develop and motivate people.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience using performance measures and KPIs.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good IT skills and experience with operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
• Monitoring performance and using KPI data to drive continuous improvement.
• Allocating workloads to drive productivity and ensure service targets are achieved.
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Managing recruitment, absence, performance, conduct and team development.
• Leading team briefings and communicating key business updates.
• Investigating operational issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Working closely with Warehouse, Transport and Operational teams to deliver excellent service.
• Managing resources, equipment and warehouse assets effectively.
