Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager for the NHS Supply Chain contract, based in Normanton. You will lead a team of operatives, plan, coordinate and supervise daily activities, and drive safety, accuracy and performance in a fast-paced warehouse.

This is a full-time, permanent role covering nights from Sunday to Thursday, 22:00–06:00. You will develop people, optimise processes using RESUS WMS, and ensure targets are met while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading teams in fast-moving logistics or warehouse environments.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities to monitor performance.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of operatives to achieve safety, accuracy and productivity targets.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily warehouse activities and shift coverage.
• Coach and develop staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and training.
• Operate and oversee warehouse equipment when trained, and manage stock movement.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
