Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting an Operations Controller for our Markham Vale site on a permanent basis. You will support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring inbound receipts and outbound loads run efficiently and on schedule.

The role requires experience in fast-paced logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to work nights (6pm–6am) on a 4-on/4-off rota. Join a team focused on continuous improvement and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a fast-paced warehouse/operations role.
• Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and resources.
• PC literacy in Word, Excel and Outlook with high attention to detail.
• Team player who can use initiative and work independently.
• Knowledge of on-site systems, Autostore and RF equipment.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage outbound schedule to meet collection and delivery times.
• Issue instructions to staff to maintain smooth inbound/outbound flow.
• Maintain 100% accuracy of paperwork for outbound vehicles.
• Be the first point of contact for drivers arriving on site.
• Communicate issues to Shift Managers to minimise disruption.
• Contribute to team as an active member and suggest improvements.
