Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager in Northampton to lead a high‑volume, MHE‑heavy operation on a rotating night shift. You will coach a team of operatives to achieve safe, accurate and efficient performance, ensuring standards are met and customer requirements are fulfilled.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong communication and a proactive safety mindset. A permanent, full‑time position with a 22:00–06:00 rotating pattern and a 24/7 operation when needed

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to coach, motivate and engage a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, MHE operations and quality standards.
• Confident communicator who can manage stakeholders and maintain high standards under pressure.
• Digitally minded with experience using warehouse management systems and reporting tools.
• Proactive, adaptable approach with a strong focus on safety, accuracy and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver safe, accurate and efficient shift performance across inbound and outbound operations.
• Ensure all warehouse activity is completed to the required standards, supporting high-volume case picking into cages.
• Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, taking action to manage productivity, quality and service levels.
• Support and enforce Health & Safety, compliance and standard operating procedures across your shift.
• Work closely with planning, systems and wider operational teams to resolve issues, support continuous improvement and keep the operation flowing.
