Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager for the NHS Supply Chain contract in Normanton. The role is hands-on, leading a team of operatives to meet daily targets on a Sunday-Thursday night shift (22:00-06:00).

You will plan, coordinate and supervise activities to ensure safety, productivity and service excellence. The ideal candidate has proven leadership in a fast-paced warehouse, strong numeracy, and experience with WMS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-moving logistics/warehouse settings.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise activities of operatives to meet targets.
• Provide leadership, motivation and training for operational effectiveness.
• Ensure safety, performance and people development are prioritized.
• Monitor daily targets and adjust resources as needed.
• Operate warehouse equipment when trained to do so.
