Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager for the Sainsbury’s contract at Emerald Park, Bristol. The role focuses on coaching and leading a team during the 21:30–06:00 night shift to meet the work plan, budget, and KPIs while fostering a strong, engaged culture.

You’ll drive continuous improvement, monitor coaching, and ensure on-site engagement and effective communication across the operation, with responsibility for training and development within the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation).
• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects with strong planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.

Responsibilities

• To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
