Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring for a Supervisor to lead a warehouse cleaning and waste team. You will supervise equipment, cleaning practices and chemical use, performing daily and weekly checks and reporting faults to the Site Manager.

You will uphold health and safety standards, liaise on shift operations, monitor waste procedures, and complete ad-hoc duties. DBS check and drug/alcohol screening are required.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience, good customer focus and service skills, ability to prioritise workload and strong organisational skills.
• Communicative English is essential, may require an English language assessment.
• Complete Basic Disclosure (DBS Check) and undertake a drug and alcohol screening test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise/operate cleaning equipment and chemicals in a warehouse environment.
• Carry out daily and weekly checks of machinery and report faults to the Site Manager.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are understood and followed; liaise with the Site Manager in shift operation.
• Monitor waste using weekly checklists and procedures; keep equipment and materials secured when not in use.
• Undertake cleaning and ad-hoc duties as required; handle customer complaints and participate in training.
• Comply with fire and safety regulations and participate in company benefit and recognition programs.
