Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is hiring a Transport Support Operator to join the Lutterworth Transport team on a full-time permanent basis. The role debriefs drivers daily and provides general admin support to the Transport team.

Salary is £28,045 per annum, and the working hours are 4 on 4 off nights from 6pm to 6am. Key duties include debriefing drivers, checking timesheets and PODs, managing despatch documents, updating spreadsheets, and using the Transport Management System for loads

Qualifications

• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Positive and adaptable attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
• Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers on a daily basis.
• Check all timesheets for correct completion and ensure all PODs are returned correctly.
• Scan and store PODs using the document management system.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence and other delivery information.
• Print all despatch notes and replenish despatch paper as required.
• Answer the telephone and assist with enquiries.
• Ensure ETAs are communicated to Customer Services.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets (change-overs, run summaries, trailer checks).
• Depart loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Lutterworth Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Salary:£28,045 per annum.

Key Duties of aTransport Support Operator:

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using thedocument management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
