Job summary

Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking a Transport Support Operator in Lutterworth to join the night-shift Transport team. The role focuses on debriefing drivers daily and providing general administration support to the Transport team.

The position is full-time and permanent, with a salary of £28,045 per annum and 4 on 4 off nights (6pm–6am). You will handle tasks from timesheet checks to ETA communications and system-based despatch processes.

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers daily.
• Check timesheets and PODs for completion.
• Scan and store PODs using the DMS.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence.
• Print despatch notes and replenish despatch paper.
• Answer telephone and handle enquiries.
• Download drivers’ cards/tachographs.
• Inform Customer Services of ETAs.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets (change-overs, run summaries).
• Dispatch loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Lutterworth Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Salary: £28,045 per annum.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 6pm-6am.

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using the document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
