Job summary

Chevron Traffic Management is hiring for a Night Shift Traffic Management Operative (Qualified) in Thatcham. The role involves installing, maintaining and operating traffic management equipment, driving IPV vehicles where qualified, and leading a crew to deliver safe and efficient work during night shifts.

Qualifications include LTMO/Foreman and IPV qualifications, with a full clean licence (no more than 6 points) and drug/alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail are required.
• 12b LTMO or 12a Traffic Management Foreman qualification and IPV qualification are required.
• Full driving licence with no more than 6 points; HGV may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and removing traffic management equipment (cones, signs, barriers, lights)
• Driving and operating IPV vehicles where qualified
• Leading or supporting a crew to deliver safe, efficient work
• Setting up and managing lane closures, road closures, and diversion routes
• Carrying out site checks in line with Chapter 8 regulations
• Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Completing traffic counts, reports, and near-miss documentation
• Ensuring health and safety at all times
• Mentoring trainees and new team members
• Assisting supervisors to ensure timely project delivery

Your role across our Traffic Management Team Whether you join us as an Operative, Foreman, or IPV Foreman/Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping roads safe and projects running smoothly.

• Qualifications: 12b LTMO or 12a Traffic Management Foreman qualification andIPV qualification
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations
• Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points.

Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago, plusanHGV licence

• Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results)
• Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail
