Chevron Traffic Management is seeking a Night Shift Traffic Management Operative/Foreman/IPV Foreman for Detling (ME14 3HU). The role covers installation and management of traffic controls, leading crews, and ensuring safe night operations.

Training, guaranteed hours and progression are available. The candidate should hold the 12AB/12b LTMO/12a Foreman qualification, hold a full driving licence with up to 6 points, and be able to pass drug/alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Title requires Night shift Traffic Management Foreman/Operative roles with IPV Foreman qualifications.
• Must pass drug and alcohol tests and medical checks.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove traffic management equipment (cones, signs, barriers, lights).
• Drive and operate IPV vehicles where qualified.
• Lead or support a crew to deliver work safely and efficiently.
• Set up/manage lane closures, road closures and diversion routes.
• Carry out site checks per Chapter 8 regulations.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Complete traffic counts, reports and near-miss documentation.
• Ensure health and safety standards at all times.
• Mentor trainees and junior team members.

Your role across our Traffic Management Team Whether you join us as an Operative, Foreman, or IPV Foreman/Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping roads safe and projects running smoothly.

Your responsibilities may include:

Completing traffic counts, reports, and near-miss documentation

Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Supporting and mentoring trainees and new team members

Assisting supervisors and managers to ensure projects are delivered on time What are we looking for?

Qualifications: 12AB, 12b LTMO or 12a Traffic Management Foreman qualification

Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations

Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points.

Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago

• Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results)
• Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail
• HGV licence
