Job summary

Chevron Traffic Management is hiring for night-shift roles in Detling (ME14 3HU). Open positions include Operative, Foreman and IPV Operatives/Foreman. Responsibilities cover installing and maintaining traffic management, leading crews, and ensuring safe operations at night and on weekends when required.

We offer a £500 welcome bonus in your first pay, overtime opportunities and benefits. Raffling qualifications include 12AB/12b LTMO/12a Foreman, IPV and HGV licences, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Must hold 12AB/12b LTMO or 12a Traffic Management Foreman qualification.
• Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
• Full driving licence with no more than 6 points; bans must have expired 5+ years ago.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test (contingent on results).
• IPV qualification and HGV licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and remove traffic management equipment (cones, signs, barriers, lights).
• Drive and operate IPV vehicles where qualified.
• Lead or support a crew to ensure safe, efficient delivery of work.
• Set up and manage lane and road closures and diversions.
• Perform site checks in line with Chapter 8 regulations.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Complete traffic counts, reports and near-miss documentation.
• Ensure health and safety compliance at all times.
• Mentor trainees and new team members.
• Assist supervisors to deliver projects on time.

Your role across our Traffic Management Team

Whether you join us as an Operative, Foreman, or IPV Foreman/Operative, you’ll play a key role in keeping roads safe and projects running smoothly.

Your Responsibilities May Include

• Supporting and mentoring trainees and new team members
• Assisting supervisors and managers to ensure projects are delivered on time

What are we looking for?

• Qualifications: 12AB, 12b LTMO or 12a Traffic Management Foreman qualification
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations
• Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago
• Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results)
• Attitude: Positive, “can-do” mindset
• Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail
