Job summary

Chevron Traffic Management is recruiting Night shift Traffic Management Operatives in Northampton (NN2 6LJ). We welcome 12AB-qualified Operatives and Foremen to join our team on night shifts with weekend flexibility.

We offer guaranteed hours, overtime opportunities, a £500 welcome bonus, 20 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, and access to our Internal Academy for paid qualifications. Full driving licence with up to 6 points is required; drug and alcohol screening applies.

Qualifications

• Full 12AB Lantra qualification required.
• Knowledge of Chapter 8 regulations.
• Full driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Drug and alcohol screening is mandatory.
• Positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management equipment.
• Undertake traffic counts, contact clients and subcontractors, monitor timings and near misses.
• Help and guide new trainees.

Your Role

• Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags and other equipment
• Undertake traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings and near misses
• Help and guide new trainees

Essential

• Qualifications: Full 12ab Lantra qualification
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations
• Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago
• Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results)
• Attitude: Positive, “can-do” mindset
• Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail

Desirable qualifications for a Qualified Traffic Management Operative - high-speed

• 12b LTMO or 12a Foreman qualification
• IPV qualification
• HGV licence
