Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL in Northampton is seeking a Warehouse Night Shift Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, drive safety, productivity and team development on a 4-on/4-off 18:00-06:00 pattern.

You will manage five frontline managers, monitor KPIs, implement continuous improvements and foster a culture of accountability, cost control and collaboration at the site in NN4 9BD.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse/shipment team in a busy logistics environment.
• Experience developing and training a team of managers.
• Strong focus on cost-to-serve, productivity and performance improvement.
• Ability to manage and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

We're now looking for a Warehouse Night Shift Manager to lead our operations and drive success.

• Lead the Team: Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your leadership will inspire and motivate our team to reach new heights!
• Streamline Processes: Implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency in our warehouse
• Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
• Monitor Performance: Track key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed our goals.
• Foster Collaboration: Build a strong team culture that values communication, accountability and teamwork. Together, we'll achieve great results!

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Have proven experence as a Warehouse Shift Manager within a busy logistics environment / 2-3 Years.
• Have proven experience in developing and training a team of manages.
• Have performance mindset & operational excellence to drive a culture focused on quality, accuracy, cost control, and performance and efficiency—not just volume.
• Have experence cultural change and continuous improvement.
• Must understand and manage cost-to-serve, productivity, and performance.
• Have experence in change management and continuous improvement.
• Will work with HRBP, Health & Safety, resource planners and other managers.
• Will be responsible for five First Line Managers.
• Happy to work on a rotational shift 4 on 4 off.
• Happy to work 12 hrs shifts for 4 days
