Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Skelmersdale is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a fast-moving team. You will own the shift’s activities, drive productivity, champion safety, and develop people while delivering daily objectives.

This role involves coaching, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements across the site. You’ll work 4 on/off shifts (06:00-17:30 or 18:00-05:30) in a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams within warehouse or logistics.
• Ability to drive productivity while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong focus on safety and process compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of shift's warehouse activities, supporting operational leaders by overseeing performance, tracking progress and ensuring daily objectives are achieved
• Lead, coach and develop your team by setting clear priorities, providing regular feedback and driving high standards across the operation
• Promote and embed a Safety First mindset, ensuring all processes are followed correctly and colleagues can work in a safe and secure environment
• Monitor shift performance, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity, accuracy and service levels
• Contribute to ongoing operational improvement projects, helping to streamline processes and deliver greater efficiency across the site

Pay Rate: £37, 000 (plus premium on night shift)

Grade: RCS M

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off - 06:00-17:30 or 18:00 - 05:30
