Job summary

Orange Monkey Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a night shift at a busy onion packing site in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. The role involves keeping production and packing equipment running safely through the night, with either Monday–Friday nights or a four-on, four-off pattern.

You will be the sole engineering presence on shift, tackling electrical and mechanical breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance and driving improvements while upholding strict health, safety and hygiene

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
• Able to work nights and independently

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and servicing
• Fault‑finding across production and packing machinery
• Maintain equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Support continuous improvement and maintain records
