Job summary

Orange Monkey Recruitment Ltd in Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader for a busy food-packing site. You will be the senior engineering presence on night shift, taking ownership of workload, priorities and engineering service delivery.

This role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, leadership of a small team, and close collaboration with production to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown resolution skills.
• Proven supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Ability to organise maintenance and set priorities during night shifts.
• A hands-on leader with focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support one Maintenance Engineer.
• Prioritise breakdowns and planned maintenance.
• Hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Minimise downtime across production and packing lines.
• Organise PPMs and ensure engineering work is completed.
• Collaborate with production to manage priorities.
• Improve equipment reliability and site performance.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and engineering documentation.
