Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Night Shift Lead to guide the store team through evening and night hours, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations. As the go‑to person, you will supervise across departments, coordinate shifts, and approve decisions in the Manager’s absence, all while promoting an inclusive, high‑performance environment.

Applicants must be 18 or over, and the role offers flexible working within a guaranteed minimum of weekly hours, plus benefits and a strong pension plan.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
