Job summary

Lineage Logistics is hiring an HGV Class 1 Driver for the Hams Hall depot in the United Kingdom. The role requires night shifts from Monday to Friday, with a hourly pay of £16.54 plus a £55 weekly shift allowance, paid weekly. Overtime is paid at time and a half after 39 hours per week.

You will perform vehicle checks, load secured goods, and complete trunking deliveries to customers. Applicants must hold a C+E licence with DigiTacho and CPC, have prior Class 1 experience, and be able to lift up

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C+E driving licence.
• Must have an in-date DigiTacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Able to lift up to 18 kg and handle manual tasks.
• Clear verbal and written English communication with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations)
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience
• Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot
