Job summary

Home Support Matters is seeking a compassionate Rapid Responder to cover Dereham and surrounding areas, on call from home and deployed overnight across Norfolk by the Emergency Duty Team. You will provide person-centred, safe care to vulnerable adults in their own homes, helping them stay independent and out of hospital care.

You'll respond to emergency referrals, travel to homes, remain awake through the night, keep accurate visit records, and report safeguarding concerns while delivering

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency referrals received through the Emergency Duty Team.
• Travel to individuals' homes to provide overnight support.
• Remain awake throughout the night to observe, monitor and reassure.
• Provide a responsive, person-centred service tailored to individual needs.
• Complete accurate visit records using the thermal printer system.
• Report concerns, risks or safeguarding issues to the appropriate teams.

Dereham and surrounding areas

. This rewarding role helps vulnerable people remain safe and independent in their own homes, reducing the need for hospital or care home admissions.

As a Rapid Responder,

you'll

be on call from home and deployed by Norfolk's Emergency Duty Team (EDT) to provide overnight support to individuals in need across Norfolk.

What You’ll Be Doing
