Job summary

DPD is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen the depot operations team on a night shift. You will lead warehouse operatives, keeping them engaged, organized and motivated while ensuring efficient unloading of lorries and accurate parcel sortation to meet KPIs.

Key responsibilities include achieving CAD %, depot throughput, saturation targets, and maintaining health and safety standards, productivity and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with proven and demonstrable people management experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
• Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Google Chrome applications.
• The ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data.
• High vigilance to any unscrupulous activity and swift action when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of warehouse operatives overnight, ensuring engagement, organisation and motivation.
• Oversee accurate sortation of parcels to meet KPIs.
• Achieve CAD % targets and depot throughput targets.
• Meet saturation reduction targets and ensure health, safety, productivity and cost objectives are met.
• Resource additional staff at short notice in case of absence.
