Job summary

DPD Swindon is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead the depot's night operations. You will manage warehouse operatives, ensure efficient unloading of incoming lorries, and oversee accurate parcel sortation to meet KPI targets.

The role requires strong people management, decisive decision-making, resilience, and excellent IT skills to generate reports and analyse data. You will uphold DPD values and drive safety, productivity and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with proven and demonstrable people management experience.
• Ability to motivate and lead a high performing team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee night shift warehouse operatives to ensure engagement, organisation and motivation.
• Ensure accurate sortation of parcels and timeliness in unloading inbound lorries.
• Monitor KPIs such as CAD percentage, depot throughput, Saturations, health and safety, productivity and cost.
• Resourcing additional staff at short notice to cover absences.
