Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to lead by example, mentor others and deliver outstanding person-centred care. You’ll support residents, help develop care plans and assist with medication administration. This permanent role operates on a rolling three on / three off rota, with Full Time Days: 8:00pm–8:00am and around 42 hours per week.

Pay rate: £16.47 per hour. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role, and our recruitment follows safeguarding

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Experience as a Care Assistant in residential or nursing environments
• Confident administering medication and maintaining records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's needs
• Act as Key Worker for allocated residents and ensure care plans are implemented
• Safely administer medication and maintain records per procedures
• Review and update care plans to ensure appropriate support
• Mentor and lead less experienced team members
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report changes promptly
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, relatives and colleagues to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity for every resident
• Ensure Health & Safety, COSHH and infection control compliance
• Assist with meals and hydration and promote independence
• Assist with light housekeeping and a clean, welcoming environment
