Job summary

LGH Hotels Management is seeking a Night Security Officer to protect our guests, team members and property. You will patrol hotel premises, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and respond swiftly to incidents with discretion.

The role requires a professional, courteous approach, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. A valid SIA licence (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience, ideally within hospitality or a customer-facing environment
• Valid SIA licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
• A professional, courteous manner and a strong sense of responsibility
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises including guest floors, back-of-house and external perimeters
• Monitor CCTV, fire alarms and access control systems
• Respond to guest concerns, disturbances or emergencies with discretion
• Complete detailed incident reports and nightly security logs
• Ensure all doors, exits and restricted areas are secure
• Support the night team with guest assistance and room access when required
• Follow all hotel safety and emergency procedures, including bomb threat and evacuation protocols
• Previous experience in a security role, ideally within hospitality or a customer-facing environment
