Job summary

LGH Hotels Management Limited is seeking a Night Security Officer for its London properties, including St Martins Lane and Sanderson. You will patrol hotel areas, monitor CCTV and alarms, and respond swiftly to incidents while maintaining guest safety and privacy.

Ideal candidates will have security experience in hospitality, an SIA licence or willingness to obtain one, and strong communication skills. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays within a premium hotel

Responsibilities

• Patrol all hotel areas including guest floors, back-of-house and exterior perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV, fire alarms and access control systems.
• Respond to guest concerns, disturbances or emergencies with discretion.
• Complete detailed incident reports and nightly security logs.
• Ensure all doors, exits and restricted areas are secure.
• Assist guests with night-time room access and support the night team.

Job description

As Night Security Officer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our guests, team members, and property throughout the night. You’ll patrol the premises, monitor surveillance systems, and respond swiftly and professionally to any incidents or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of all hotel areas including guest floors, back-of-house, and external perimeters 3
• Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems
• Respond to guest concerns, disturbances, or emergencies with discretion and professionalism
• Complete detailed incident reports and nightly security logs
• Ensure all doors, exits, and restricted areas are secure
• Support the night team with guest assistance and room access when required
• Follow all hotel safety and emergency procedures, including bomb threat and evacuation protocols

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a security role, ideally within hospitality or a customer-facing environment
• Valid SIA licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
