LGH Hotels Management is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team in Chester. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness, supporting chefs, and handling basic preparation tasks to assist with service flow.

You will work behind the scenes to uphold food hygiene, safety, and order, contributing to a positive dining experience for guests and supporting a collaborative kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.

• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly.
• Support kitchen set-up and close-down procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the shift
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly
• Support kitchen set-up and close-down procedures
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service
• Report any maintenance, hygiene or health & safety concerns promptly
