Job summary

RAC is seeking a Nights Roadside Technician in the Leicester cluster. Youll start and end at home, focusing daily on getting members back on the road in your local area with a RAC van and full tools.

The role combines roadside diagnostics, repair work, and exemplary member service across the UK. We offer strong base pay (£42,921.87) with a realistic OTE (£43k–£53k) and a range of benefits including a pension, share scheme, and breaks that support a rewarding, fast-paced career in automotive

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years experience.
• Or: 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on scene.
• Work from home base but cover local cluster areas with RAC van and tools provided.
