Job summary

St Mungo's in London is seeking a Night Reconnection Assistant to support individuals at risk of rough sleeping. You will work within a busy team, provide a safe night-time environment for clients and help implement reconnection or assessment plans.

A DBS check is required and the role is a secondment/fixed-term contract until 1 August 2027. The position involves a 37.5-hour week on a two-week rota in Kensington and Chelsea, with salary banding of £35,202 to £39,333 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience dealing directly with the public in a busy service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others to get things done.
• Understanding of issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supportive environment at night for clients.
• Support a team of Assessment and Reconnection Workers with reconnection or assessment plans.
• Assist clients in moving into appropriate accommodation as part of the reconnection process.
