Job summary

Government of The United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Night Support Assistant to deliver person-centred emotional and practical support to service users in line with their care plans. The role requires overnight shifts with a focus on safety, dignity, and a secure site environment.

The position involves administering medication per policy, safeguarding, and close collaboration with the wider care team to ensure continuity of care. A DBS check and relevant employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HSC/NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
• Commitment to undertake HSC/NVQ level 3 in Care.
• To hold or commit to undertake HSC 375 Administer medication to individuals.
• To hold or commit to undertake and achieve First aid at Work Certificate.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, person-centred emotional and practical support tailored to service users as per their care plans.
• Assist service users with personal care, dietary needs and dignity requirements.
• Administer medication accurately and safely per local policy.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and meticulous record keeping across the site.
• Ensure service users' safety, including fire drills and equipment operation.
• Undertake regular security checks and monitor residents.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
