Job summary

Travelodge Chelmsford is seeking a Night Reception Team Member on a Part Time contract. The role involves welcoming guests, checking them in, and keeping the hotel running smoothly overnight. You may assist with housekeeping prep, breakfast service, and even occasional bar service while enjoying a friendly, supportive team environment.

No prior experience is required as we offer coaching and training to help you succeed in a hospitality-focused night role.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Friendly and helpful demeanor essential.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a guest-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and check them in at the hotel.
• Walk corridors to monitor rooms and public areas.
• Handle noise complaints and evictions as needed.
• Prepare housekeeping trolleys and set up the hotel for the next day.
• Assist with breakfast service and occasional bar service.
• Support opportunities to progress through Aspire Programme.

We have regular rewards and recognition activities such as ‘FAB Fridays’ and ‘Housekeeping Heroes’. Your job will be welcoming the guests and checking them into the hotel, but you’ll also be walking the corridors at regular intervals and you may have to deal with things like noise complaints and evictions. Your other main responsibility is setting up the hotel for the next day, so you’ll be doing things like preparing the housekeeping trolleys, or prepping for breakfast service and even serving behind the bar at times”
