Job summary

Theobalds Estate is seeking a Night Porter to provide exceptional guest service while maintaining security and a calm environment during night hours. You will work a 4 on, 4 off pattern within a historic estate setting, contributing to a smooth handover and a safe, quiet night for guests.

Experience in night work and hospitality is preferred, with emphasis on punctuality and attention to detail. DBS clearance will be arranged for the successful candidate, and on-site parking may be available.

Qualifications

• Night working experience preferred.
• Excellent punctuality and attention to detail.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills gained on a reception desk or similar.
• DBS clearance will be arranged for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and safety of guests and hotel property, keeping areas quiet overnight.
• Complete night checklists, reception audits, housekeeping prep and breakfast handover for the day shift.
• Attend to incidents during night service and coordinate with emergency services if needed.
• Carry out breakfast setup to ensure a smooth morning operation and handover to the day team.
