Job summary

Audley Redwood is a village-style retirement community near Bristol. We are seeking a Night Porter to deliver friendly, efficient service and create a secure, welcoming environment for residents. You will assist with administrative tasks and provide care support when needed, including pool setup and maintaining public areas.

The role requires good English, basic computer use, multi-tasking, and a warm, empathetic approach. Flexible shifts and a calm demeanor are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy with clear written and spoken English.
• Computer experience is advantageous.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Flexible, positive attitude and shift availability.
• Pool cleaning and pool-test logging knowledge.
• Maintain cleanliness of public and communal areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and efficient customer service to residents.
• Provide administrative and operational support across the village.
• Assist with care delivery if required.
• Prepare swimming pool and club for day use.
• Ensure cleanliness of all public areas and communal spaces.
• Carry out refuse collection throughout the village.
• Respond promptly in emergencies and maintain safety.

Audley Redwood is set within 15 acres of landscaped parkland, just a short drive from the city of Bristol. It's made up of 106 luxury apartments and 20 cottages, built to complement the local Georgian architecture.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate:

• Good level of literacy and numeracy as well as written and oral English.
• Experience of using a computer would be an advantage.
• Ability to multi-task.
• You should be able to identify priorities and manage time effectively.
• Positive attitude and tolerant nature.
• Flexible approach to daily duties and shift patterns.
• Pool cleaning and completing pool test log.

  • Ensuring cleanliness of all public areas as appropriate.
