Job summary

Scape Hammersmith is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to join our 24/7 operations in West London. You will welcome residents and guests, maintain security during night hours, and support building maintenance tasks across Scape sites.

Key duties include following safety procedures, logging enquiries, handling post, and assisting with general housekeeping. DBS checks and UK right to work are required; SIA licence is an advantage.

Qualifications

• DBS check is required for all roles
• 3 years of references and right to work in the UK are required
• Night porter role requires reliability, flexibility and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide a knowledgeable and friendly welcome to students and guests
• Ensure building entrances/exits are secure out of hours
• Follow health and safety policy, procedures, risk assessments and method statements
• Assist with general upkeep and housekeeping tasks
• Raise maintenance requests and identify general building maintenance
• Report incidents to the Residence Manager
• Respond to and log enquiries with Residence Manager as needed
• Handle and log complaints professionally and escalate for resolution
• Handle post and parcels for students and log all signed for deliveries

Scape Hammersmith

Scape Hammersmith will be a fantastic place to work and 'change the game' helping us give our residents an amazing living experience in West London.

Our team of Receptionists, Night Porters, Housekeepers, and Maintenance Operatives will support our residents 24/7 delivering excellent customer service, keeping our spaces safe, clean and well maintained ensuring our residents can enjoy their time with us. We are building a brand-new team and have full and part-time positions available.

Onboarding Requirements: All roles will require a satisfactory DBS check, 3 years of references and RTW in the UK.

Start Date: ASAP

Night Porter

Hours: Night shifts, 4 on / 4 off, 8pm - 7am

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

• Providing a knowledgeable and friendly welcome to all students and guests whether in person or over the phone
• Ensuring that the building entrances/exits are secure out of hours to prevent unauthorised access
• Understanding and following our health and safety policy, operational procedures, risk assessments and method statements
• Assisting with the general upkeep of the building carrying out some general housekeeping tasks
• Raising maintenance requests for students and identifying general building maintenance
• Reporting incidents and accidents to your Line Manager
• Responding to and logging enquiries, working with your Residence Manager where needed
• Handling and logging complaints professionally and compassionately, escalating them to the Residence Manager for resolution
• Handling post and parcels for our students efficiently and carefully, logging all signed for deliveries
