Job summary

RAD Hotel Group's Radstone Hotel is seeking a Night Porter to join the team in a hands-on, night-shift role. You will deliver excellent guest service, support hotel operations, and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness while preparing the venue for the following day’s events.

Based at the Radstone Hotel, near Glasgow and Edinburgh, the position offers flexible night hours, weekly pay, and opportunities for progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within hospitality.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Professional and friendly demeanour.
• Over 18 years old.
• Driver's license and own vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Night Porter to join our team at the Radstone Hotel. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a varied and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during the night shift, ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations, and maintaining high standards of service and safety for all guests. You will also be involved with general portering duties setting function spaces for the following days business.

The Radstone is a spacious and unique hotel with a modern stylish design and dynamic atmosphere. Within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh, The Radstone is a perfect centrally located meeting place, with excellent travel routes.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Bar service to guests during the night, ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment.
• Wedding and event setups in function rooms for weddings, conferences, and other events.
• Responding to guest requests, check-in/check-out of late arrivals, and ensuring all needs are met promptly and professionally.
• Ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and its guests throughout the night, including regular checks of public areas and rooms.
• Assisting with luggage, deliveries, and ensuring the hotel remains clean and organized.
• Completing required night audit duties, including balancing the financial records for the day.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or security concerns to the relevant departments.

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
