Job summary

Christ Church invites applications for a Night Porter to join our Porters’ Lodge team. You will provide a professional, welcoming service to students, staff and visitors while monitoring security and safety during the night.

This full-time post offers 40 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (18:30–06:30 or 19:00–07:00) with three nights on, three nights off. Salary: £32,108 per annum (University Grade 4). The vacancy remains open until filled.

We are seeking a professional, confident and reliable Night Porter with excellent customer service and communication skills to join our Porters’ Lodge team at Christ Church.

Our Night Porters provide a professional and welcoming service to students, staff and visitors whilst overseeing the security and safety of the College during the night. The role involves monitoring College systems, responding appropriately to incidents, and helping to ensure a safe, secure and supportive environment for all members of the College community.

Salary: £32,108 per annum (University Grade 4)

40 hours per week working 3 nights on
(12 hours shifts – 18:30 to 06:30 or 19:00 to 07:00)
and 3 nights off as rest days
